Austin Pancner

Austin Pancner is an active tenor and bass trombonist, educator, and health and wellness coach based in Cincinnati, OH. He currently holds the bass trombone position with the Southwest Florida Symphony and has performed with renowned ensembles like the Cincinnati, Atlanta, and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras. As a dedicated teacher, Austin offers private lessons that combine traditional pedagogy with a unique focus on healthy, sustainable playing, stemming from his Doctoral education at Indiana University. Drawing from his experience as the founder of The Functional Musician, he integrates injury prevention, movement, and recovery techniques to help students of all levels build long-term success and self-confidence on their instrument. Whether beginning to explore the trombone or preparing for solo competitions or auditions, Austin tailors each lesson to support the individual goals and well-being of every student, while taking into consideration learning styles, goals, and interests.
